Hi I bought a property back in 1991 which is being managed by Solitaire- its a 6 block flats in the west midlands. i have had many problems with them since but the biggest and the worst was in 2006 when i had damage to my property from a number of leaks(4 since 2001) from the upstairs flat which Solitaire were aware of. Insurance company refused to pay and solitaire told me to sort it out with my neighbour. The Area Manager’s exact words were “what do you expect me to do about it”. Thats when I got a solicitor and she managed to get the damage put right and insurance paid (about £6000). in the end we were without basic washing facilities for 8 months so i havent paid my fees for that period and every time i get a reminder for it i ring solitaire up and tell i am disputing it. i have provided them with the reason on numerous ocassions. i had a letter from a dawn ward from solitaire to say that they havent even got a record of this dispute. i am today going to post her about 50 pages of evidence(solicitor’s letters and letters from me)and will wait to see what she can come up with. theres already been about 5 people “looking into” this dispute, one being their own solicitors- Cripps Harries Hall LLP.
Solitaire are absolutely useless.
