Let Solitaire Know Your Issues

Andy from Solitaire Property Management, recently replied (see below) to posts by Matt / Fancescc / Cath / Lee and Ben, advising that it was difficult for him to identify the development that they lived at, following their posts on TheTruthAboutSolitaire. Hi Matt, Francescc, Cath, Lee, Ben Thanks for your recent postings; I am here to help find resolution to your enquiries. Solitaire manages a large number of properties, so to answer each individual complaint that is posted on this site can be very difficult, if [...]

Belated Happy Birthday!!!

I can’t believe it!  I missed a very important Birthday this week and no it’s wasn’t the wifes!! TheTruthAboutSolitaire celebrated it’s first Birthday and things still haven’t improved with my personal Solitaire / Peverel complaints, but what I have managed to identify, is the fact I wasn’t alone in my plight! It’s incredibly satisfying to see the number of visitors that TheTruthAboutSolitaire receives and I’m overwhelmed by everyone’s support and thanks for setting the website up.  I’m more than happy to accept the OBE that everyone keeps [...]

Daily Mail Letter 15 July 2009

Those of you that are readers of the Daily Mail newspaper, may have seen a very interested letter within the ‘Money’ Section, that was in reference to Peverel. Click here for the link to the “Must we pay for a service we dont receive?” article on the Daily Mail website. It was interesting to read that even the Daily Mail’s Money Doctor, Margaret Stone got told that “Peverel is examining how it can ‘make our dialogue with the residents more effective”. Now haven’t we heard [...]

They’re all at it…

It was good to read on the BBC News website today that High profile estate agency Foxtons has been told by the High Court that some of the charges it imposes on landlords are unfair.  The Office of Fair Trading asked the court to to uphold the regulators decision from 2008 that the charges broke consumer regulations. Admittedly these charges were imposed on Landlords that Foxtons were managing, but it goes to show that the ‘Property Management Industry (lettings and management’ business has certainly been lucrative [...]

Whats going on with Solitaire’s accounting systems?

There has been an increase in the number of compliants on TheTruthAboutSolitaire from residents that have received invoices on one day, to then receive another invoice the following day asking for even more money. How / why has Solitaire allowed these mistakes to happen?  Are they mistakes?  Who knows? Having seen accounting systems implemented in the past at previous companies I have worked for, there has always been a  period when the old and new systems run alongside eachother, until they have been confident that the new system is working correctly, before decommissioning the old system. Solitaire [...]

Have things improved with Solitaire?

It’s been almost two months since Andy from Solitaire Property Management started actively contributing to TheTruthAboutSolitaire and I’d like to ask, have things improved for you?  Judging by some of the comments that have been posted by contributors, it would appear that they haven’t. In early February we were informed by Andrew Billson of Solitaire / Peverel that it would take time to get things sorted at Solitaire, but it is now almost 5 months later and still people are complaining of the same things: Poor Service, Incorrect [...]
