No.10 Downing St Petition Gathers Support
By admin | October 20th, 2009 | Category: Past Articles | 4 commentsThe No.10 Downing St Petition continues to gather support and at the time of writing this post, we had 115 signatures.
We all share the same belief that companies like Peverel / Solitaire / County Estate Management should be held accountable for poor service, shoddy workmanship and overcharging and this could be our chance!
Therefore, if you are fed up with paying extortionate fees to Management Companies for little work, sign the petition today!
We require only 500 signatures for the Petition to be viewed by members of N0.10 and for it to be considered by Government – so sign up today!!
Why not print the image below and distribute it amongst your fellow neighbours to highlight this petition and get more signatures!

Thank you to those of you that have already signed the petition and for your support.

136 signatures so far! Obviously the minimum we need is 500, but it would be great to get many, many more. Make sure you spread the word, put flyers up in your blocks and encourage everyone you know to sign (even if they don’t live in a flat, make them sympathetic to your cause!). It’s not even been active for a week and always we have 136… and we have until April so well on track! Thanks again to all for your support!
Dear All
WELL DONE yet again. The Downing Street petition is just what we need. I’ve already signed it and forwarded details via email to the majority of residents/home owners on this development.
I’m still battling with Solitaire myself (10 years down the road and still no results). I’m now communicating with Janet Dzie, Associate Director, Head of Operations, but she is still refusing to pay me for the cleaning of one of our development’s bin cupboards, as Solitaire themselves have failed to do so properly since April 1999. I’ve been carrying out this work since 1 May 2007, yet they are still charging residents for this privilege – great company aye ?
We all received a letter here in Yeading, Middlesex last week, informing us that the Barnet Office was closing down in November – no surprise there then. Just being swallowed up by the Peverel banner.
Any poor service which was being received will become non-existent now.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK EVERYONE.
By the way for your information, ARMA are launching their own OMBUDSMAN SCHEME wef: 12 November 2009. It may be worth a visit to their website to find out more details.
Kind regards

262 & counting. Over half-way to the magic 500 mark, but I suspect there’s many times that number who will eventually sign this petition, as word continues to spread. I wonder if Watchdog would like to mention it as part of a follow-up to their investigation from earlier this year…???
I’ve just signed the petition. I have seen more than enough to form my own opinion about management companies, and definitely think they need to be regulated.
