The Peverel Group of Companies
We were the first to let people know about the link between the Consensus Business Group of companies and now we can officially, reveal the companies that are part of the Peverel Group.
Having perused and downloaded reports on the Consensus Business Group of companies, including Peverel from the Companies House website, we’ve obtained copies of the latest set of accounts (new accounts are due to be submitted for the year ending 31 December 2009) on many of the CBG Companies.
The accounts that have been submitted for Peverel, actually detail the names of companies that are classed as ’investments’ of Peverel.

The most interesting fact from the Peverel Accounts is the closing statement under the title of ‘Ultimate Parent Undertaking and Controlling Party’, which says the following:-
The company’s ultimate parent undertaking is Euro Investments Overseas Inc, a company in the British Virgin Islands and the ultimate controlling party is The Tchenquiz Family Trust. Peverel Group Limited is the smallest group for which financial statements are prepared and are available to the public and may be obtained from Companies House Cardiff. Aztec Opco Developments ltd is the largest group for which financial statements are prepared and are available to the public and may be obtained from Companies House, Cardiff.
Here’s another name to throw into the pot for people to research, to find out who exactly is ‘Euro Investments Overseas Inc’?
No.10 Petition
We were pleased to see that support of the No.10 Downing Street Petition, calling for regulation of the Property Management / Service Industry has increased to now have 570 signatures.
This is FANTASTIC news and shows that the word is spreading!

I would also add the following company to the group which although not owned by Peverel directly is part of the same group. Freehold Property Managers Ltd. They are based in London and are used to buy up development freeholds. They then employee Solitiare and Peveral as the management companies of their developments. As ground rents are set and controlled by laws. It is difficult for this company to make any profit. Normally a freehold is sold by the developer on the basis of the ground rents over a period of between 10 and 15 years. The reason managment charges from these companies are so high is so the group can recoup the inital outlay on buying the freehold as quickly as possible

I believe E&ML are owned by (or part of) Solitaire, which means it is therefore part of Peverel, and ultimately part of the Consensus Business Group overall.
Be interesting to see just exactly how many different companies there are in the overall pot, and how many of those are not currently openly linked to CBG…

Fairhold Holdings Ltd is a company with 900 pds issued capital and about 95 Mil in assets.
The Controlling company of Fairhold Holdings Ltd is Moormead Property Holdings which has a higher level ultimate holding company Euro Investment Overseas Ltd ( BVI) . The ownership of BVI companies are not open to public.
Euro Investment Overseas Ltd (BVI) is owned by Investec Trust ( Guernsey )
So make an in-depth study of Fairhold Holdings Ltd and get the accounts and charge details from http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk

Take a drive around trading estates in New Milton, Hants. Its like browsing your list. I was amazed after visiting Retirement Homesearch to see how they were trying to sell my late parents apartment. Truth was they weren’t doing anything.

Another company to add to the list is Insero http://www.insero-lettings.co.uk. They are a lettings service company, which is part of the Peverel group. If you do a google search of the peverel head office address it is amazing what companies it brings up. From the ones we all know to others offering retirement homes abroad. Did god they have gone global

…and the list does go on! Nothing sinister about this eh? Why have soo many companies if there is nothing to hide??? And surely the administration of ALL of these companies must be costing a fortune! Wonder where your service charge goes? Certainly not to maintaining your HOME or Development! Probably more to the Managers and Accountants and Legal Depts of the various companies!??

The list of companies is mind boggling, but are PPMG doing anything wrong or sinister?
Remember every leasehold property is leased from a Freeholder – and they are companies like Fairhold in its many guises.
There must be millions of freeholders, and by being a Ltd company, it limits the directors liability.
You will often find that Solitaire Directors are the sole director in your company. We had a dormant company set up when our develpoment was built we own a share in it, but it’s worthless. Much of it is ancient company law, so I’m not sure the point of trying to produce a definitive list.
Where we live there are at least five comapanies all linked by common directors with an interest in it.
I suppose the problem with leasehold is it’s nothing more than rent, with the ability to buy or sell the value of what you’re renting.
Right to manage removes the managing agents, but collective enfranchisement can allow you to buy the freehold.
