A Classic Example of Peverel’s Tactics

Those that are not that familar with the way Peverel Group operate within the Property Management Sector, may be interested to read the following e-mail that we received from a TheTruthAboutSolitaire contributor. Good afternoon. Firstly, the website is brilliant – please keep up the good work!! Secondly… I’m at my wits end with County Estate Management. When I bought my house, naïve first-time buyer as I was, the PMC was Peverel. They became Peverel OM. Then I was told that Peverel OM had been sacked and CEM brought [...]

Calling All Residents Undertaking RTM / LVT

To try and encourage more residents / developments to undertake RTM and on the suggestion of a few contributors to TheTruthAboutSolitaire, we would like to hear from you if you are currently undertaking an RTM / LVT that involves any of the Consensus Business Group / Peverel Group companies, or you’ve been successful enough to get rid of them without the need of the above. It would be interesting to know just how many developments are currently trying to remove PG / CBG PMC’s and where [...]

What Companies Are Involved?

On the suggestion of the latest TheTruthAboutSolitaire contributor ‘Worth’ – we’ve put together a dedicated page that lists all the companies (that we are currently aware of) – who are associated with/or part of either Consensus Business Group or Peverel Group Ltd. The reason for doing this is largely down to the sheer number of enquiries we receive, who ask whether XYZ company is part of CBG or Peverel.  Hopefully, by listing all of the companies associated – will make it clear just how complicated [...]

Competitors Are Referring PPMG/SPM Clients to TTAS!

We hope that all of the recent technical difficulties experienced in the last few weeks are sorted and do apologise for the lack of Solitaire / Peverel related posts.  We trust you can all appreciate that our efforts have been focused on ensuring that TheTruthAboutSolitaire website was stable, before we re-commenced posting stories. Despite our technical problems, it has been great to see the contributions of TTAS visitors on the web site – some of which has been incredibly enlightening. Take for instance the comment added by ‘Neil’ yesterday, [...]

Problems with posting comments

Having worked overnight and for much of this morning, we have now fixed these problems.  Apologises once again and we hope that normal service is now resumed. Updates Coming Soon

TheTruthAboutSolitaire is certainly experiencing the hits at the moment and this is the reason why in the last few days, the website has been inaccessible. The site currently has a monthly bandwidth limit – which in laymans terms means: the more people that visit, the more bandwidth we use.  Due to the increase in visitor numbers, we have started to exceed this monthly limit before the end of the month and has been causing the site to appear offline. Whilst it took sometime to identify [...]

Yet Another CBG Company

The ever growing list of Consensus Business Group of Property Management Companies never seems to surprise, by the sheer number of Freehold companies / PMC’s – that are associated with CBG. This time, it’s a new name that has been brought to our attention – namely Roselab Ltd – who are the freeholder of a development, that is managed by a company called ‘Pennycuick Collins’. The contributor who brough this to our attention sent the following message and would welcome any advice that other TTAS [...]

City Heights Update & Fortune 500

Residents from City Heights (victorious in one of the biggest LVT cases in the UK) have provided us with an update on how things are going following the LVT decision. Separate from the LVT decision the team running the City Heights LVT have been trying to trace and identify missing reserve funds for the six apartment blocks at City Heights ready for a handover to a new property management company on 01/04/2010 now they have sacked Solitaire. On Thursday 11 March 2010 Solitaire sent a further statement [...]

How Did PMC’s Come About?

The whole Property Management concept is a money making industry, but there are still many questions about how PMC’s have appeared to become the ‘norm’ in many new developments. Fortunately, one of TheTruthAboutSolitaire admins was in discussion with ARMA and asked the question of ‘why it appears that all new developments are managed by PMCs?’ ARMA explained that when developers started building estates that had a mixture of houses and flat’s, there was a responsibility to look after the shared area’s e.g. private roads, common areas.  Originally, this responsibility was the developers.  However, [...]

CARLEX also on YouTube

Those of you that are interested in the CARLEX campaign can now access their YouTube channel, which features coverage of many of their regional meetings. We recommend that you watch footage from the recent Tunbridge Wells meeting and many of the points raised are all too familiar and it is now time for us to try and force change and advise the developers, council and landowners, that by appointing a Peverel Group company / Consensus Business Group company – could detrimental to any attempts of selling their properties? [...]
