Calling All Current & Past Peverel Employees
By admin | August 20th, 2010 | Category: Past Articles | 3 commentsWe’re continually surprised by the fact that despite the publicity (online/in the press) about the shocking performance, fes and service that Peverel / Solitaire / Consensus Business Group of property management companies provide, we receive very little communications / postings from existing or former employees of these companies.
The only ‘sniff’ of a Peverel / CBG employee possibly contributing to TTAS, was ‘Dalston Square‘ who posted:-
Having a little knowledge of this website for months now I have recently received an internal e-mail accusing us of helping “Phoenix” I have come to understand the full extent of how people feel about PPM.
I am appalled and embarrassed to work for them.
Over the last few years the ‘boys club’ who run this company have dragged us down. Profit and charges come 1st and long gone are the family orientated OM days when we cared.
We’re supposedly the leading PM company but how can that be if you lose all your developments as has been happening lately.
I am sorry even if my management isn’t, if it is any consolation we on the ground have to go through a restructure for their mistakes!
If the above insight were to be true, it would confirm all of our feelings of PPMG only seeing residents / property management as a ‘cash cow’ – continuing to milk it, until it’s all gone and then they’ll sell up / give up – when those developments are in a severe state of deterioration and no-one will want them, leaving only one thing – the local council to pick up the mess or for them to become dormant estates.
However, surely there must be more past employees out there that would like to enlighten us all - aren’t there?
We know for sure, that if we were no longer in the employment of PPMG – that we’d happily be contributing to TTAS to highlight their practices (whether it be good or bad)…… unless, when employee’s leave they are asked to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) - to protect Peverel / CBG?
Who knows!
TTAS would like to urge any past or current PPMG employees to get in touch with us to reveal what it is really like to work for Peverel and what employees are told do in regards to dealing with residents and sourcing contracts.
Anyone that does get in contact can be assured of 100% anonymity and we will only publish information that you are happy for us to do so.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Admin, Thanks for highlighting this original post – one of the most telling things that ‘dalston square‘ had to say I found was “…Profit and charges come 1st and long gone are the family orientated OM days when we cared”! As with most things when greed is thrown into the equation things mostly go wrong! As we’re all experiencing under Solitaire (and associated companies!)
Also if Phoenix is reading this then it would be nice to have an update on their situation too, thanks.
Dalston Square.
Thank you for your post.
We have always understood that within OM their are workers of the “old School” who may have made mistakes but tried to a decent honest job and maintain a good relationship with their customers.
I fully understand how uneasy you are with the current situation.
i also note your comment about restructuring which i suppose means redundancies.
Whatever, the future for OM, hopefully none, estates will still need to be managed. So i say to you and others within OM, help us.
I am sure at any future time should those that have helped wish to carry on in their chosen career they would be looked on with favour in any future appointment of managing agents.
Should OM collapse i do not suppose having OM on your CV will help find a new job.
If you need to remain anonymous at present be assured your wish will be respected and not even the slightest hint as to who you are will ever be posted.
Posting a comment on here whilst still an OM employee is a brave thing to do. If the powers-that-be within Peverel Towers don’t already know Dalston Square’s real identity, I suspect there’s a lot of fun & games going on to find out who he/she really is…..
We do need people like Dalston Square to stay in the business, as he/she does seem to care, and therefore appears to be a good apple in the otherwise rotten barrel.
I do know of another good apple, who from what they have told me since taking over responsibility for my development, has caused some major ripples in the OM pond. Which probably means he/she will be moved on, as change (for the better) seems not to be on the OM agenda…..
Re. admin’s comment about whether departing OM staff are made to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement, I’m not sure how they could do this. If the staff are told they have to sign one before they leave but refuse, what are OM going to do? I suppose if it was a departure through redundancy they could threaten to withhold redundancy monies owed, but that surely would be breaching employment law…??? For a staff member moving to a new job, what can they do – sack a member of staff who is leaving anyway? Still not going to get them to sign a NDA, are they…???
