More Guardian Coverage – Sack Your Property Manager

The Guardian Newspaper have yet again ran a report that mentions OM Property Management / Peverel Property Management in today’s paper. They referred to last weeks coverage of overcharging and poor support by Britain’s biggest property management firm: Peverel Property Management. Sack your property manager for a new lease of life by Patrick Collinson Last week Guardian Money highlighted claims of overcharging and poor support by Britain’s biggest property management firm. But if you have been having similar problems, what can you do? The number [...]

Will It Be, Au-Revoir Solitaire PMC in Sept 2010

Judging by the e-mail that was ‘accidently’ copied into a resident of ‘David Miles’ development Resident’s Association. It would appear that Solitaire Property Management developments are to officially be taken over by OM Property Management. OM Property Management’s employee “IS’s” e-mail is below:- Hi all, Please can you let me have a list of any RTAs that exist for Solitaire schemes. Can you come back to me with the scheme number and RTA name and contact by the 17th September please. I don’t expect that [...]

Grim Update From Fortune One (City Heights)

It’s the morning after England were dumped embarrassingly out of the World Cup by the Germans – things can’t get any worse surely?  Well for the residents of ‘Fortune One’ or ‘City Heights, Nottingham’ it appears that it can! Over the weekend we were contacted by City Heights to bring us up to speed with developments and despite the victory to replace Solitaire Property Management, it appears that Consensus Business Group of companies are still able to influence proceedings. Here’s the updates as quoted by [...]

A Worried Home Owner

From time to time, we try to highlight some of the cases that get reported to us by residents of properties that Solitaire Property Management are responsible. This time, we’ve received the following message from a homeowner of a George Wimpey Development in Maidstone:- Hi Thanks for your website, we have been a new property for 6 months and the first time solitaire contacted has was to give us a administration charge and threaten us with debt collectors. This company are only charging a few [...]

Another Body To Register Your Complaint With

Many of us will have registered complaints with ARMA, BBC Watchdog and even directly to Solitaire / Peverel, but we’ve been in contact with another body, that maybe able to help us. Consumer Focus is an independent champion for consumers across England, Wales, Scotland and (for postal consumers) in Northern Ireland.  They operate across the whole of the economy, persuading businesses and public services to put consumers at the heart of what they do. The latter part of the above paragraph is clearly something SPM / PPMG [...]

Three months on and we’ve received an update from City Height’s, which is listed below:- Update from Fortune One (City Heights) Since the Judgement in Feb 2010 the team leading the City Heights LVT report they have not yet received one penny from the Peverel Group in settlement of their case. Fire Safety and Health & Safety for your Development

In November 2009, following an investigation by Hampshire Fire & Rescue, we publicised the successful prosecution of Solitaire Property Management for failing to comply with fire safety law. For those that haven’t read about this, we have copied the information from Hampshire Fire & Rescue’s webite: 3 November 2009 Solitaire Property Management Limited has today been fined £1,500 plus costs of £2,000 after pleading guilty to two offences at Southampton Magistrates Court relating to charges of the company’s failure to comply with fire safety law. Peverel Say Things Are Improving, We Don’t Think So!

Peverel’s online feedback manager – ‘Andy’ – continues to tell us that things are improving and that he’s there to help, but we’d love to know where he gets his facts from, in regards to these improvements! Why do we say this?  Well, we receive hundreds of e-mails each week from homeowners, who’s properties are managed by Solitaire Property Management / Peverel Group Companies, telling us their woes, yet these type of messages haven’t reduced, if anythings they’ve increased and below we list an example of [...]

Worse Than Taking Candy From a Baby?

On Friday we received an e-mail from a TTAS visitor who lives in a property managed by Solitaire Property Management, in addition to their mother who also owned a Peverel Retirement property. In January of this year, the visitor’s mother died and her Peverel Property and posessions are currently being handled by their solicitor in probate. In March, the Solicitor put the property on the market, only for Peverel to write and inform the family (not the solicitor) – that ‘apparently’ contractually, Peverel have / had an ‘exclusive 10-day period’ to [...]

A Classic Example of Peverel’s Tactics

Those that are not that familar with the way Peverel Group operate within the Property Management Sector, may be interested to read the following e-mail that we received from a TheTruthAboutSolitaire contributor. Good afternoon. Firstly, the website is brilliant – please keep up the good work!! Secondly… I’m at my wits end with County Estate Management. When I bought my house, naïve first-time buyer as I was, the PMC was Peverel. They became Peverel OM. Then I was told that Peverel OM had been sacked and CEM brought [...]
