Those of you that have requested the contact information for Peverel’s Client Accounts Team Leader and the Lost Schemes, should be aware that the ‘Clients Accounts Team Leader’ address has changed to being @consortpm.co.uk and not @peverel.co.uk. The name before the @ symbol remains the same and we apologise for any bounces you may have received. We believe that this address was changed following our publication on Tuesday. Insurance Requests Many of you provided us with details of your current Zurich Insurance Policies that Peverel [...]

Fire Safety and Health & Safety for your Development

In November 2009, following an investigation by Hampshire Fire & Rescue, we publicised the successful prosecution of Solitaire Property Management for failing to comply with fire safety law. For those that haven’t read about this, we have copied the information from Hampshire Fire & Rescue’s webite: 3 November 2009 Solitaire Property Management Limited has today been fined £1,500 plus costs of £2,000 after pleading guilty to two offences at Southampton Magistrates Court relating to charges of the company’s failure to comply with fire safety law. Solitaire [...]

Worse Than Taking Candy From a Baby?

On Friday we received an e-mail from a TTAS visitor who lives in a property managed by Solitaire Property Management, in addition to their mother who also owned a Peverel Retirement property. In January of this year, the visitor’s mother died and her Peverel Property and posessions are currently being handled by their solicitor in probate. In March, the Solicitor put the property on the market, only for Peverel to write and inform the family (not the solicitor) – that ‘apparently’ contractually, Peverel have / had an ‘exclusive 10-day period’ to [...]

Calling All Residents Undertaking RTM / LVT

To try and encourage more residents / developments to undertake RTM and on the suggestion of a few contributors to TheTruthAboutSolitaire, we would like to hear from you if you are currently undertaking an RTM / LVT that involves any of the Consensus Business Group / Peverel Group companies, or you’ve been successful enough to get rid of them without the need of the above. It would be interesting to know just how many developments are currently trying to remove PG / CBG PMC’s and where [...]

What Companies Are Involved?

On the suggestion of the latest TheTruthAboutSolitaire contributor ‘Worth’ – we’ve put together a dedicated page that lists all the companies (that we are currently aware of) – who are associated with/or part of either Consensus Business Group or Peverel Group Ltd. The reason for doing this is largely down to the sheer number of enquiries we receive, who ask whether XYZ company is part of CBG or Peverel.  Hopefully, by listing all of the companies associated – will make it clear just how complicated [...]

City Heights Update & Fortune 500

Residents from City Heights (victorious in one of the biggest LVT cases in the UK) have provided us with an update on how things are going following the LVT decision. Separate from the LVT decision the team running the City Heights LVT have been trying to trace and identify missing reserve funds for the six apartment blocks at City Heights ready for a handover to a new property management company on 01/04/2010 now they have sacked Solitaire. On Thursday 11 March 2010 Solitaire sent a further statement [...]

How Did PMC’s Come About?

The whole Property Management concept is a money making industry, but there are still many questions about how PMC’s have appeared to become the ‘norm’ in many new developments. Fortunately, one of TheTruthAboutSolitaire admins was in discussion with ARMA and asked the question of ‘why it appears that all new developments are managed by PMCs?’ ARMA explained that when developers started building estates that had a mixture of houses and flat’s, there was a responsibility to look after the shared area’s e.g. private roads, common areas.  Originally, this responsibility was the developers.  However, [...]

Increase in Residential Associations being Setup.

In the last few weeks, we have been receiving hundreds of e-mails each week from residents who have been asking us for advice on how to deal with Solitaire Property Management / Peverel, Consort and any of the other Consensus Business Group property management companies. It would appear the publicity generated by the City Height’s LVT has encouraged a number of estates to start establishing Residential Associations and gaining the support of fellow residents to turn the tide on Peverel / Solitaire. From the contributors [...]

TheTruthAboutSolitaire contributor ‘Geoff’ has brought to our attention the following report, from ‘thisisnottingham.co.uk’ – that raises yet another story of Solitaire story of owe. So Many Things To Discuss

We’d like to thank everyone for their patience, whilst we experienced some rather serious technical difficulties, that we believe were targetted at trying to take TheTruthAboutSolitaire offline.  The evidence that we have sourced has been passed on to the relevant authorities for investigation. Therefore, the good news is – WE’RE BACK and have quite a lot to comment on. CARL Newsletter We’ve been provided with a copy of CARL’s new Spring 2010 Leaseholder Issue 29 newsletter that highlights how the political world, seem unwilling to help owners [...]
